A Panel Discussion
America’s Turmoil: Examining Current Issues in a Multi-pronged Approach
President Barack Obama and his administration have presented the current economic stimulus bill as one leg of a multi-pronged approach to reverse the cultural and financial recession that is engulfing the US and most of the world.
A panel consisting of: Pastor Joan Burnett, Protestant Chaplain; Professors’ Claire Potter, American Studies, Richard Adelstein, Economics and Elvin Lim, Government, will discuss how this recovery is impacted by race, class and gender and also how those qualities interact with proposed reforms in education, housing and the economy.

A buffet dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. in the Daniel Family Commons and the discussion will follow.
